Hair Color That Lasts

Can you believe this balayage is 7 months old? Parisa came in and only needed a gloss to tone down the brass. When balayage is done correctly, you can go longer between visits and only come in for gloss treatments. If you're interested in this look, email me for more info.

Light Blond With No Warmth

I had the honor of working on this beauty who flew over 1000 miles to have me correct her hair color and add hair extensions. She is naturally a dark brown hair color and she wants to be blond as possible, but she pulls really red since she is so dark. She has had more disasters with her hair color than you can imagine! I did a combination of different color techniques to avoid any warmth in her hair. I have a special way I like to color the hair that avoids any unwanted warmth. It's taken me years to perfect this technique. Also, I added tape in hair extensions to fill in holes in her hair and to add length. If you are a blond whose hair lifts gold or red and you are having troubles achievi

The Best Hair Dryer For Your Hair Type

Clients always ask me what I would  recommend  for a blow dryer. I'll let you in on a little secret, not every dryer will work on every hair type. Each brand of dryer is different and  I will spill the secret on what dryer I would recommend for your type of hair. My absolute favorite for fine hair is the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i.  The Featherweight has T3 Tourmaline® SoftAire™ technology  and is responsible for quick, healthy drying and it contains a ion generator that promotes frizz-reducing, gloss-boosting power which is perfect for my fine hair sisters. One of my favorite features is that the blow dryer is lighter than a bottle of water therefore, your hands won't  get tired while blow dr

Beige Blonde Beauty

Yesterday, I had the honor of transforming this beauty's hair.  She had brassy hair color with very strong gold undertones in it. She showed me a pic which had more of a beige blond tone to it. Beige blond is a wonderful choice when you are trying to get rid of brassy hair. I usually suggest this color, as it is flattering on any skin tone and it works great covering up the unwanted gold tones. If anyone watched my Instastories, @amandamajorthestudio, I showed step by step how I did this. Remember, good hair color takes patience with the help of a talented colorist. 😊

Natural Blended Hair Color

Nothing makes me happier than when a client's hair looks better months after I do it. In this case, it has been exactly 7 months! How do I do it? I call my technique a natural blend.   I like hair to look like it hasn't been done and it has naturally lightened up by the sun.  I like the new growth, root area, to blend in with the color and most of the time, I work with someone's natural color instead of covering it up unless they have grey. When I do this technique, I only have to see clients once or twice a year.  They end up coming more often because they absolutely love their color and want more.
